Thread Inspection — API Connections
Full visual and dimensional inspection of API threads on casing, tubing, drill pipe, and accessories, performed to:
- API RP 5B1 — Gauging and Inspection of Casing, Tubing and Line Pipe
- API RP 5C1 — Care and Use of Casing and Tubing
- API RP 7G-2 — Inspection and Classification of Used Drill Stem Elements
- DS-1 — Drill String Design and Inspection

Thread Inspection — TenarisHydril Premium Connections
As an authorized TenarisHydril Licensee (No. 155), Elmoj performs inspection of TenarisHydril premium connections to Tenaris’s own global inspection procedures and acceptance criteria. This includes:
- Full visual and dimensional premium thread inspection
- Tenaris-approved gauging and dimensional verification
- Inspection documentation to Tenaris standards
- Post-repair inspection and re-qualification
Thread Inspection — Vallourec VAM Premium Connections
As Libya’s only Vallourec VAM-qualified service provider, Elmoj performs VAM premium connection inspection to Vallourec’s global qualification standards, including:
- VAM visual and dimensional thread inspection
- VAM gauging to Vallourec specifications
- Full VAM inspection documentation and traceability
- Post-repair VAM inspection and re-qualification
Make & Break / Bucking Machine Services
Elmoj operates two fully rotational, computerized CNC Make & Break Bucking Units — both fitted with non-marking jaws for zero damage to pipe body or connection surfaces.
Unit 1: Covers sizes from 2-3/8″ up to 13-3/8″ OD Unit 2: Covers sizes from 2-3/8″ up to 22″ OD
Services include:
- Premium connection makeup and breakout (TenarisHydril and VAM)
- API 5CT connection makeup and breakout
- Computerized torque monitoring and makeup torque control
- Well completion assembly makeup

Gauging & Dimensional Verification
All gauging is performed with instruments calibrated and certified by accredited third parties. Every result is documented with full traceability to the job reference, pipe serial number, gauge serial number, and inspector.
